Description
The body of the samovar is made in the form of a vase. The wall is smooth, in the upper and lower parts there is a wide strip of embossed floral ornament. The handles are made up of two paired plates, curved up, decorated with chased ornament. In the place of fastening the handles there is a decorative overlay with the same floral ornament. The lid is decorated with a stripe of embossed ornament of a similar nature. The top of the lid is high, smooth, merged with a crown. Slots on the crown – in the form of narrow rectangular holes. There is no escutcheon plate, the faucet spout is strengthened by a narrow curved round rod extending from the bottom of the wall to the stem. The spout is smooth, the valve handle in the form of a rectangular rod extending at right angles to the key. Ash-pit slots are similar to the crown slots. The lower part of the neck is decorated with the same chased ornament as the lid. The base is square, the legs are curly, protruding forward, with overlays connecting them to the base. The linings are stylized as wings, decorated with chased ornament. On the bottom is a stamp: “Argentur” (another name for German silver). A pipe is attached to the samovar. A pipe with an extension in the upper part, with a wide side, which is decorated with a stripe of chased ornament, similar to a wall. Pipe handle in the form of a rod with a wooden handle located at right angles to the pipe body. The handle is connected to the pipe with a flat round burdock and rivets.
