Since 1942, the Tula Cartridge Plant was renamed the Stamp Engineering Plant. Since 1962, the name “B.L. Vannikov” has been added to the name “Shtamp”. Boris Lvovich Vannikov – twice laureate of the USSR State Prize, three times Hero of Socialist Labor of the USSR, in 1942–1946 he was People’s Commissar of the USSR ammunition.
